A fireplace provides extra cosiness on cooler days, whilst the shared outdoor sauna offers soothing relaxation after long walks by the sea. Fehmarn is one of the sunniest regions in Germany and is particularly popular for water sports, sailing, kitesurfing and long walks on the beach. Right on the doorstep, numerous signposted cycling and walking trails run along the coast and through the island’s countryside. The 18-hole Fehmarn golf course, with sea views, is about ten minutes away by e-bike. The charming island capital, Burg auf Fehmarn, is also just a few minutes away and delights visitors with its small cafés, restaurants, boutiques and historic old town.
